Here I be.

While I have not had the chance to import any of my LiveJournal entries or anything, I have managed to get this going, which is going to be my new home—much to my dismay. Of course, I am here because of the drama that has been Six Apart and LiveJournal’s silence on the issue regarding massive account deletions for stupid things. As such, my new space here is hosted by NearlyFreeSpeech.net, whose terms of service are quite compatible with my ideas of the way things should be. Censorship is not something that they believe in, and that is a wonderful, wonderful thing.

Look for more to come in the next few days. With this change will come a few others; namely, my old Jabber account will no longer be used (it was LiveJournal, too), and my e-mail address will be changing to complete the transition away from my old Internet name to my new one (which will simply be my name; no longer a handle). Also, I will be installing some interface software to make it easier for my friends on LiveJournal and other services to comment on my blog without having to go through the horrendous process of creating accounts or anything like that, and I will have a feed added to LJ so that this can be added to LJ user’s friends pages as well.

All of that having been said, this day of drama has cost me some much needed time to do homework, and so I am going to be doing that. G’nite, and I shall have more later.
